Introduction to LY-PEDALS
ly-rock Hi Power is a dual overdrive/amp-in-a-box with a Hi watt tube amp on one side and a Coloursound Power Boost on the other. It was inspired by the sonic combination of two British tone machines. While the combination of these two units directly hints at the gear setup of David Gilmour used on Pink Floyd’s album: ‘Wish You Were Here’ the sonic options are endless.
The orange Coloursound Power Boost can deliver a transparent clean boost to an all-out fuzz driving a tube amp to sonic bliss. For Crazy Tube Circuits set out to clone the original unit featuring the true-to-the-original spec BC184 transistors running on 18V DC. The ultra-flexible 2-band Baxandall EQ circuit can add bite and low-end rumble to any setup. While earlier units didn’t feature a master volume this pedal has one included. Later versions of the Power Boost (grey) had lower headroom and are incorporated with a flip of a toggle.
On the left side you will find an all-analog circuit set out to emulate the sound and feel of a Hiwatt amp. From the big bold high-headroom clean sounds to the face-melting crunchy tones. Included is a full EQ section along with a presence control. A headroom toggle switch selects between the high headroom 100w with 4 x EL34s (think Hiwat DR103), or the lower headroom and compression provided by a 50W with 2 x EL34s (think DR504). Also added is a switch to select between input channels of the amplifier: normal or bright channel options are available.
Also included is a passive effects loop to give you the option to connect pedals between the booster/overdrive and amp in a box or use the two sections as separate and independent effects when using an external bypass switcher / looper. Gilmour enthusiasts will love to insert their Big Muff, Tube Driver and Phase 90 in there. Note that all pedals inserted in the passive effects loop are still in the signal chain when any or both sections are in bypass.
Power supply; (This information is very important)
It is best to use a linear power supply. 9v centre negative external positive DC power supply
The maximum voltage cannot exceed 9.7v
Do not attempt to supply power to equipment with voltage exceeding 9.7v or higher. Burning equipment is responsible! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Orange control section
VOL: Control the gain of attenuator/overload. Turn the gain clockwise, and the timbre will transition from unvoiced to gradually fuzz. Ctc adopts reverse potentiometer, which can adjust the gain of excitation/overload more accurately than conventional linear potentiometer
BASS: control low frequency TREBLE: control high frequency PWR: analog 18V version.
MASTER: Control the overall input signal DDR: analog 9V version.

Volume: Control gain, from large dynamic unvoiced sound to wild British distortion
BASS: controlling low frequency TREBLE: controlling high frequencyPRES:controlling telepresence.
MIDDLE:controlling intermediate frequency MASTER: controlling total input
B/L/N shift: Short for BRIGHT/NORMAL/LINKED (bright, normal, two channels in series, three modes optional)
103/504 gear shifting: It is equivalent to switching gears between 100 watts and 50 watts.

I haven't heard the original, but the sound is quite decent. The most important thing is that there is no noise. The soldering could have been better. For that, I'm deducting one star.
I'm not sure what a hi watt amp sounds like i have never owned one but this pedal has gotten me closer to the david gilmour sounds then i have ever been and not just gilmour it just makes my boss katana just sound awesome if you are thinking of getting one just do it
This pedal do a really nice hiend hiwatt amp sound, and super strong power booster that's captures the gilmour-floyd from the 70s. The knobs all are very sensitive and usefull but maybe you will fix the 100w and link switch, the overdrive side is super loud and you try the 9v or 18v. With loop on the pedal you can used to put pedal between both section.

So far, so good, it hasn't disappointed me. The sound is crystal clear and organic, works very well with my Rat and Tube Screamer. I'm using it with my TC Electronic Deluxe Reverb combo directly on the mixing console, and they match perfectly. My current sound system is an analog pedal setup - compressor, Diamond-Ibanez Tube Screamer, Rat, WI Power (as a booster), Boss CE 2, Boss DM2, Boss DD3 vintage, and TC Combo Deluxe 65 amp simulator. I am very organic and dynamic.

Impressive. I have bought a lot of pedals here on Aliexpress... many of them have seemed good to me but this one, I think, makes a difference. The quality is noticeable in the playing dynamics... it cleans up very well with the volume potentiometer of the guitar... what drives me crazy is the feeling of playing with a real amp.

The execution and finishing of this effects pedal is beautiful. Solid metal pedal. The knobs are sturdy. The sound is good. The fuzz knob is very powerful. Does it sound like Gilmour's sound? I think it comes very close. I'm happy with it. Cool guitar pedal.
Great, guitar amp simulation and not only!! As i have got a real hiwatt 504 amp , i can tell they really nailed it ! ! Great tone andflexibility, that pedal is a must have ! Delivery was faster than the original estimation, all in all, five star rated !
