Sharpens normally No rush, with attachments 240-600-800-1200 managed to sharpen a worn kitchen knife so that it cuts paper. It took about 20-30 minutes. Knives that are thinner than 2cm will be difficult to sharpen.

Wow y expensive japanese kitchen knifes, especially the santoku, have been as aharp as new within seconds! Really high quality product with ball bearings on both sides for very smooth rolling. A pleasure to sharpen knifes with - without the fear as loosing the right angle as with a whetstone.

The roller is made of wood (a pleasant surprise, I thought it would be plastic) and two rollers fit inside each other. The central screw is made of aluminum. Easy to use. I will probably buy more grinding wheels.
